Just committed to buy a black and silver Fifi Abdo galibeya from somebody selling costumes on bhuz!  Yay!  It needs work, but I don't mind sewing on sequins and that sort of thing, and because it needed work it has never actually been worn.  I'm very excited to have something that I can wear for casual folkloric and moreover for meleya leff--I don't think I could bring myself to wear one of those froufy Alexandrian dresses, but a galibeya is perfectly appropriate.

Slowly my costuming is coming into line with my taste and style...

damn, was sorta hoping to see you in a turquoise and purple alexandrian dress. would have been very cute. except, now, I'm picturing the puckered facial expression, maybe just for comic value ;-)
