Pursuant to my last post, if you are curious about "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" and about "Waltzing Matilda" itself, there's a good summary here. When I was in about second grade, my class did a study unit on Australia and we sang "Waltzing Matilda;" I remember all the words to this day. I always hear it in the background when I listen to "And the Band...", which I know only from the Pogues version. I know Remembrance Day isn't until Sunday, and today has just been Veteran's Day Observed, but I can't think of any better song with which to observe any veteran's day.

Three solid hours of house-cleaning = badriyaz goes splat. At least I know that whatever surface I land on will be clean...
