Something I read often in the press is that Arab/Muslim moderates and intellectuals need to speak against terrorism and the bad things done in the name of Islam, the implication being that none of them are doing it.  But they are out there--and being given a platform on news outlets like Al Jazeera, which is frequently accused by the US of being nothing but a speaking piece for extremists.  Here's a (compiled) video clip of Wafa Sultan, an Arab American psychologist from LA, speaking very forcefully on Islam's need to come to terms with the world and not backing down one bit from politicians and ranting clerics.  I am glad that she could appear on Al Jazeera, and I hope that there were people out there listening and thinking.
