What a great story about the pony; I bet she makes a wonderful ambassador for the kids at the center. I think what might complicate things for Barbaro is that the point of trying to pull him through this is so that he can stand at stud, which means that leg is going to have to bear half his body weight at times. And as a fully mature stallion, he'll weigh more than he does now. Plus, they might be worried about something like that freaking out the mares to the point where they won't breed with him, or possibly even injuring the mare somehow if things got too frisky in the breeding shed, or if it gave way unexpectedly.
