alonewiththemoon: Drumlin Farm Banding Station 2016 (fruityoatytrio)
This morning my 45-50 minute commute took 90 minutes due to Red Line problems.  The train was so overcrowded that at Park Street a woman started screaming at people to let her off the train.  The surprising thing is that it wasn't me.

Class with Najmat last night was the kind that made you think a lot--traveling steps with turns and a somewhat off-kilter pattern of repetition.  Brought me back to those days with Seyyide at the Brazilian Cultural Center, traveling across the studio on the diagonal trying desperately to stay in a straight line and not fall over.  I'm much better at it now than I was then, that's for sure.  There was joking about making So You Think You Can Dance style signs ("We <3 Badriya" with lots of glitter, that kind of thing) to hold up for me at the Diva Pageant.  I would die laughing if that were to really happen :)

Finished Paranoia Agent last night.  The series wasn't perfect, but it was very enjoyable.  I actually think it could have been a few episodes longer as it felt a little rushed at the end after all the slow careful set up of the beginning and middle.  A few things were left just too unexplained; if Li'l Slugger's origin was what it was, how do you explain the warrior scribe's existence?  Or was the genesis of that character just supposed to be yet another way to react to paranoia?  Still, I liked it and it will stick with me for a while.  Here's a trailer, for any interested persons.  The theme song and opening credits are pretty marvelous as well, it's the most cheerful song about destruction ever.
