Jan. 26th, 2006 11:47 amLast night by the time I got home I was shaking all over and couldn't tilt my body without going into one of those coughing fits where you think you might throw up by the end of it. So instead of doing yoga or dancing I crawled into my pyjamas (at 7pm) and parked myself on the couch until 11:00*, whereupon I went to bed and slept surprisingly soundly for 8 hours. Today I feel a lot better but still not great. I'll go to dance class tonight, but I'm not sure how participatory I'll be :-/
*I am glad to know that I am not the only one addicted to Project Runway. I'm rooting for Nick, personally, though Andrae's good too. I loved the gutter water dress, I thought he should have won last night.
I decided to go with the Nefertiti coins--Venus does come in silver, but the bra concept has gotten even more heavily Egyptian. I found some little mummy charms that are going to be used to create a top row of decoration across each cup. From a distance it will look like the standard kuchi/afghani stuff that everybody uses, but up closer it will be clear that they are mummies. Well, shawabti, actually, little servants meant to take care of the dead, but I don't expect most people would know that. I give any of you gentle readers the opportunity to show off in front of other people if you see me while in this costume by observing that the decorations are really shawabti and not mummies ;-) Anyway, just have to wait until payday next week, and then I'll order the coins.
nepenthe01, want to get together sometime after all our stuff arrives for a sewing session?
And for your recommended daily allowance of cuteness, it's white baby otters! I love the vet's name, too: Dr. Otty, the otter vet. What else could he be, with a name like that?
