Nov. 17th, 2005 10:58 amIn this interview, Kevin Haskins says the following:
MT: The rumor is Bauhaus is considering a new album.
Haskins: Yeah, we are. I think it would probably not be enough just to simply tour again. We have the intention to record a new record, and that will probably happen about this time next year.
So, I wait and see. After seeing how much power and dynamism they had live, I think I'm more optimistic than I had been about new material, and I definitely get what he is saying about just touring not being enough--I had wondered about that, actually. It would be pretty sweet if Peter Murphy brought in some of his Turkish influences--I did notice a bit of that in his singing on Sunday (was it really only this past Sunday?).
Been listening to the live recording of the show when my walkman will allow me to, and the sound on it is good, without the muddiness people have commented on. Listening to those deep low sounds that opened the concert, I can remember feeling every single rib vibrating and the tissue of my lungs resonnating with the sound's timbre. It was a great way to start the show, physically capturing the body of every person present.
