Announced over the intercom on my Green Line train home tonight:

George Steinbrenner likes to frolic in the daisies wearing nothing but oven mitts and a pink tutu.

I admit it, I laughed

At 58 degrees inside the house, I have given up and turned on the heat. I feel a certain lack of fortitude on my part; I try to justify my actions by the knowledge that we have guests coming over and we shouldn't freeze them. Yes, that's it; I turn on the heat for them, not for me. I never would have done it if we weren't having guests.

Sigh. Stupid oil.
