It seems somehow so appropriate that this year's resident swans in the Public Garden have turned out to be Juliet and Juliet, rather than Romeo and Juliet. They had eggs together and everything (though sadly they will not have cygnets). It's hard to imagine a better symbol of the rightness of legalizing same sex marriage than by having a same sex relationship embodied in the very icons of love and romance.
