Jun. 22nd, 2005 02:21 pmThis is the best telephone ever.
Saturday night, I just remembered, I dreamed that our street was flooded with water. I was expecting something, I'm not sure what--fish? Ducks?--to come swimming down the street, but I did not at all expect 6 or 7 walruses to come surfing through the waves. It was pretty exciting though. I was a little afraid of them, because they can be quite fierce, but I went out to look at them anyway.
Did you know that in Massachusetts, it is legal to keep one-humped camels, but illegal to keep two-humped camels? I suppose it's because the two-humped kind is perfectly capable of surviving the winters, and thus camels might escape and form breeding populations and soon take over the state, becoming nuisances on a hitherto-unseen scale. Camels everywhere! Blocking traffic! Eating your tomato plants! Frolicing in public pools! Swaggering through City Hall Plaza like a gang of toughs! Things would never be the same again, if they ever legalized two-humped camel ownership in this state, I tell you.
Somebody really ought to get more sleep tonight than she has been getting.
