May. 30th, 2005 07:46 pmM and I are going to Ceremony tonight. The lure of Qntal calls us.
I am wearing my "Gothic Belly Dance" shirt. I realized as I put it on that I have never before owned an article of clothing that says goth or gothic on it. Now i think I need a pair of sweatpants that say "gothic" across the ass. I might even wear them to Ceremony if I owned such an item.
Speaking of asses, I did the Suhaila Buns workout yesterday. Ow! I *thought* I had strong glutes, but Suhaila kicked my ass, pretty literally. She seems like such a nice woman, but she's a big old sadist underneath that serene smile. It's good stuff though and only half an hour, so it's the kind of workout that's easy to do when you are pressed for time. One of the exercises left my lower back rather sore, so I suspect I wasn't engaging the right muscles enough. Today I danced and felt well enough for the first time in a couple of weeks to do a thorough warmup and cooldown as well as the actual dancing part, a couple of hours in total. And I got to work on anything I wanted to, not troupe stuff or stuff I felt obligated to work on. Felt pretty damn good.
Man, the more I think about those pants the more I think they are a good idea, in the most tasteless and tacky sense of "good idea." Hmmm...
