alonewiththemoonYesterday's show was a lot of fun. I screwed up once during Rompi Rompi, but I laughed at myself for it. We had a pleasant little afterparty afterwards, Russian appetizers, Southern supper, and lemon squares I made for dessert. There were hairless cats who were tremendously friendly. I'm never quite sure how to pet them though. Got home from the afterparty around 9 in utter exhaustion and had to miss out on other various social events. Fell asleep on the couch by 11. It already seems like forever ago, but I did manage to get Dead Can Dance tickets in the morning, pretty darn good seats too.
I wrenched something in my left thigh on Friday night and wasn't sure I'd be able to do the drop in the middle of Pull Up the People--it hurt even to stand up and sit down on the couch--but icing it on and off all night plus liberal application of tiger balm before bed salvaged things enough that I could do it. It's achy today but hurts less than my sinuses, which are informing me in no uncertain terms that I am Sick. I feel such palpable pressure in my ears I swear I could pull pieces of it out with tweezers, if I were crazy enough to stick tweezers in my ears. I suppose I had a collaspe coming, though. Today I will take it blissfully easy and hopefully feel much better tomorrow.
