math is all too easy
Apr. 28th, 2005 11:52 amtoo little sleep + too little food + too much caffeine = too queasy and tired Badriya Z
Was shuffled around to the front row in the current Sarab choreography during last night's rehearsal, which clearly revealed how much I had been relying on watching the front row to know what was going on. Whoops. Guess I'd better really learn this thing. I spent the night rather annoyed with myself about size and about not knowing the choreography, but had a good talk with Seyyide later about restaurant work, which was somewhat reassuring in that she had no qualms about sending me out there, even to a live band. Didn't get home until about 11:45, which put seeing Hungry Lucy completely out of the question. Did anyone see them? How were they? I will be interested to hear if my guess is correct.
Tonight I MUST get groceries, especially fresh fruit and veggies, and I must work on three different pieces of music, Pull Up the People by MIA, Ya Salaam by Hakim and Rompi Rompi by god knows who but I wish they'd done it at half speed. Usually I am pretty quick with choreography, but I'm a bit fried at this point. The MIA song at least isn't really choreographed, but it does have a couple of things I know I want to do at certain points, including a drop, so I need to keep rehearsing it. I also want to stop by Great Eastern Trading Company in Central to see if they have any acceptable harem pants (needed to wear under the swishy skirt for Rompi Rompi) so that I don't have to deal with making any on Sunday. It's a lot to cram into one tired night, but the more I get done now, the less I have to do later and I can maybe mostly relax on Sunday.
When did life become work? Yawn.
