That show last night felt damn good.  It's amazing how much the energy rachets up in performance as opposed to rehearsal.  Didn't feel the slightest twinge in my knee when I dropped (though it's twinging like heck today), and a couple of my shimmies surprised even me.  I love my new costume, those tassels are a ton of fun to pop with locks (hopefully there will be photos to come).  I'm sorry it's over but I'll definitely use that set again in other venues--great crowd response to all the songs. The whole night was really enjoyable. I'm so proud of what M is doing with Seven Sunless Days. Other hgihlights: the poet Catherine Sasanov was gripping, Edrie's reading from her novel in progress left me wanting more, and the Breadweather Biologists were utterly charming high school kids from the suburbs who were genuinely funny with their improv emo folk songs. I could totally see them getting signed in a few years if they stick with it.

Time to work out and dance, shower, go to Pemberton Market for some food and some pansies, home to plant the pansies, do a bunch of sewing on the paillette dress I'm wearing for A Gypsy in Cairo (it came missing a ton of paillettes, I will never order anything sight unseen from Anatolia Imports ever again.  I need the dress now so there's nothing really to be done about it, but if I had more time I would return it), then go to a rehearsal for Gypsy, and hopefully be home by 11:30 or so.  I guess I need to eat somewhere in all that, too.

I think on May 1 I can have a lazy Sunday afternoon with no obligations.  That will be nice.
