Dec. 8th, 2004 12:12 pmI took yesterday off and stayed home to work on my coin costume for Saturday--it's about done. I wish I had a better velvet hip thingy to put under the belt, but the wrap I came up with will work for now. Probably I'll pick up an actual belt base and sew down the metal coins. Eventually. The bra came out very nicely. It's amazing what happens during one's shoulder shimmies when one's bra weighs about four pounds.
In other good news, Pan has been observed eating some kibble on his own and eagerly eats his Carnivore Care again. I guess we'll just see better and worse days as his body adjusts to the changes going on inside it. he and Seti were both curled up in their hammock last night with their little faces sticking out, impossibly cute to behold.
In less good news, on Monday we were spinning in class. The woman next to me and I were spinning in opposite directions and smacked the backs of our hands against each other--one of those things you couldn't do if you tried, but happened quite precisely as an accident. I'm a little afraid I might have fractured my second (index finger) metacarpal. At the very least, I'm sure I bruised it, as I can see the bruise and it is very sore even after icing and ibuprofen. Spending all day Tuesday sewing probably didn't help matters much. I guess if it doesn't feel better tomorrow, I should go see the doctor. I completely and utterly do not have time for this. Of course it is my right hand, though luckily I can operate a mouse/trackball with my left hand and typing doesn't seem to hurt too much. I'm signed up for a cane workshop next Tuesday, I hope it's just a bruise and is healed up by then.
In more informative news, Annie's bunny crackers taste very good. Cheese isn't bad for you if it's organic and made from the milk of happy cows, right?
