Just spent entirely too much money at L. Rose Designs, which is very easy to do, but it is justifiable in that it's a couple of 3/4 sleeve U-tops for hiding upper body tattoos for audiences who don't like tattoos, although of course a couple of 3/4 sleeve U-tops have a way of leading to a matching skirt, headband, etc... I splurged on one of the new chiffon gore trumpet skirts to match one of the U-tops, oh so pretty!

I'd really like to find the time to see the Chet Baker documentary "Let's Get Lost" at the Brattle while it's there, maybe next weekend?  His version of My Funny Valentine just kills me:

Sigh... Apparently he was quite the ladykiller and it's not hard to hear/see why.

I was just looking at the Brattle's listing for that, and was considering it strongly. The question is really, when? (My Friday nights are generally open with some advance notice).

Yay! I can be at the theatre at about 7pm. If you can get tickets in advance, I'll probably do that. Not sure whether Mathew will be joining us or not--jazz is not his thing but he says he is fascinated by musician biographies of any genre :)

Hey, I just got an email that the L Rose order I placed last week shipped today! (I needed a skirt and top to wear underneath my new! red! assuit! dress!) I look forward to hearing how the chiffon gore trumpet skirts are.

And do go see 'Let's Get Lost'. It's not a happy tale, but it has been on and off (mostly on) my desert island type lists since it came out. My VHS copy is a mess, I am so happy for the re-release!

Oh good, sounds like my stuff won't take long either then! I have a lead to follow but I feel like I can't until I have tattoo-coverage in my possession, in case it's an issue. Red assuit dress, cool!

I should have known you would have known all about the Chet Baker film :-) I'm really looking forward to it, just watching videos on YouTube earlier today has left me feeling a bit haunted.
