help me invent a drink!

Yesterday at Walgreen's I found a truly stunning bit of Halloween merchandise, a plastic purple martini glass with a stack of skulls for a stem and the word "Gothtini" written across the glass.  Like these glasses, but purple with silver writing.  So tell me, friends, what would be in a drink called a gothtini?

I saw a drink recipe once for absinthe, red bull and cranberry juice and, hell no, I didn't try it ;-P...

Absinthe martini

I'm not sure if this would work with a plastic glass, but I'd coat the inside of the glass with absinthe, and shake up gin and splashes of cranberry juice and vermouth with crushed ice, and strain that into the glass. Not sure what I'd garnish it with.

I'd probably also experiment substituting sloe gin instead of the gin and cranberry.

What a great find! I guess a gothtini would have to use some of the black vodkas or rums out there. Instead of an umbrella, it would need to have a garnishment of a miniature dagger or perhaps a crucifix.

This is like a conversation I had with A. last night about what kind of ice cream the other person would be, if they were an ice cream.

That sounds like it's got most of the goth bases covered--just add vodka! I wouldn't drink it though, I can't stand Red Bull ;-)

That sounds good, though I'm not too sure about the plastic glass either. Maybe I could coat the ice with the absinthe.

I would not experiment with sloe gin because it is gross ;)

black vodka was one of the ingredients that came to mind... can you imagine a drink with a little tattered black parasol in it?
