my god the bathtub is full of stars

Because I took a bath with a Luth bathbomb that left silver and black and gold stars all over the inside of the tub.  I figured that since it was marginally cool enough this evening, I deserved a long soak in the tub with a novel (White Poppy by Margaret Gaan, a tale of culture clash in the days of the opium trade in China.  Man, Europeans have really done their part to screw the world over) and a glass of sherry.  Feeling much better now.

RCN got my missing emails and folders restored.  The interface is still sucktastic, though.

On the subject of culture clash: still in the throes of Lawrence of Arabia afterglow, I've resumed reading up on Lawrence's fast-friend and fellow map-maker Gertrude Bell. I seem to remember (although my memory is famously faulty) you mentioning a book that you read about her?
