Sep. 10th, 2004 12:55 pmOur landlord called last night to let us know that he was going to be painting our back door Friday morning at 10am and thus would need the back door to be unlocked. He actually suggested that we could just leave the door unlocked for him so that neither of us would have to lose any work time. Um, yeah, that's a great idea, if you happen to be on crack. Luckily Mathew's schedule allows him to be there. We're irked anyway, because he's not painting the door (which has been unpainted since its installation last September) to make us happy or improve our apartment; he's doing it to make the exterior of the building look nicer to make it easier for him to rent the upstairs apartment, which is nicer than ours anyway. Speaking of which, if anyone's in the market for a really nice and spacious 4BR with two full baths for $1950, get in touch... it is really a bargain for the price.
I just bought tickets to Diamanda Galas (
rojagato, we have third row seats!) and to PJ Harvey. That was a pretty penny to spend. Diamanda is playing October 8 and PJ October 9--it will be a weekend of wild women! PJ's show at Avalon is quite early, doors at 6 and bands at 7. Last time she was in Boston, she played the Orpheum--I don't think she sold out, but it was pretty close, so if you are interested in seeing her, I'd get your tickets soon. I still have to get my Cramps ticket, but I think that can wait until my next paycheck, they shouldn't sell out. And Rasputina are playing the Middle East on October 27. What a season for concerts!
After writing about eagles yesterday, I dreamed about them. Not sure what the dreams were about, but I remember a lot of wings, strong wings.
