(I am also seeking a couple of volunteers to work the door at the hafli--I can't pay anything, but you would receive free admission, and you can see the stage from the door :-)

blah...I can't make any plans for that timeframe until my family choses a date for my mother's 60th b-day party...her b-day was 4/20 (and my dad is today!), but all of their friends are down at the shore in the summertime, so that's when they want to hold it so everyone can easily come...I'll know in the next few weeks when..

I know with the date I'm running the risk of a lot of people being unavailable, but hopefully enough would rather go to a gothic belly dance event than a cookout ;-)

the date's fine, I think that weekend is a good idea, just need to nail down that date for my mom...for the moment, I would say vending/performing is a very likely option if you want to pencil me in, cause Keith doesn't need much an excuse to head up to visit our friends in RI :) I'll let you know as soon as I know for sure!

Definitely interested in the workshop with Aepril, and debating whether I should perform. (I'd like to, but I'm not sure what form, whether I'd do a solo or grab a friend to do a duet with.)

SO. Can I start spreading the word? Do you have flyers?
Let's see, there's Somerville Open Studios this weekend... Wait. Will the hafla be downstairs, too? So, not that big...

I'll put you down for a slot, but let me know asap whether you want to do it for sure or not--this time I have a firm limit of 15 dance slots of up to six minutes each.

By all means, spread the word! Right now I just have expensive color flyers that I need to conserve until closer to the event, but I will try to get some black and white ones done soon...

Everything will be held downstairs. But more people fit for a show than you might think--Johara's event on April 1 had I would guess between 60-80 people. I haven't decided yet whether to encourage people to use the stage or the workshop area for the open floor stuff. Might just play that by ear. Workshop will be limited to about 15 b/c it's veil, I'll let you know as soon as I've got the registration page up and running.
