alonewiththemoonJust sent a message to my contact at the Regent about using the underground space for Raks Spooki: the Revenge. I have a getting on the roller coaster feeling that I did not have when contacting any of the other venues, so I suspect this is going to be it. I've also asked him about the footage that was shot, will keep any of you performers updated when I learn more.
Awake is once again not really working for me today. Najmat worked us hard last night, in a good way but I was completely wiped out when I got home. We're participating in the annual Green Street Studios Community Concert--we're just doing one song, but I really recommend the event for anybody interested in all sorts of dance, because you'll see all sorts of dance, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Black Sea to the South Seas and everywhere in between. April 27, 8pm, $20 (it's a fundraiser for the studio). Shakti's tribal belly dance class will also be performing.
