From what I hear, though, Neil Gaiman is staying involved with that. At any rate, he's deeply involved with the Death movie, which according to his blog in recent months is resurfacing again...

I'm having trouble imagining who they'd cast as Jesse, Tulip or Cassidy, but Sam Elliott would be a great Saint of Killers, and I'd like to see Patrick Stewart as Starr... It's about time he played a villain!

I could imagine one of the boys from The Boondock Saints as Cassidy. And I think <http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001602/>Guy Pearce could be a good Jesse, especially after seeing The Proposition. Tulip, though, that's a tough one.
