my grandmother

I finally got around to looking at the CD my dad made of photographs of my grandmother, taken throughout her life. She looked so happy when she was young, the perfect picture of a young woman in love and starting her family. She looked pretty happy when she was older, too, doing the hula, but those older photos just have a glow...

Here she is as a very happy bride--I don't think this is her wedding dress, just what she wore later:

Here is the family at Atlantic City. My dad is the smallest one. He's the only one alive today.

Here she is with her sister, before she was married. I think she is the one with the fabulous sleeves.

Here she is a few years ago doing hula with some ladies from her church. She's the one on the left.

And here's Christmas in 1985 or 1986--probably 86--at my family's house:

Oh my.

Your hair.

Oh. Wow.

Those are some great old pics. I loved finding those from my mom's parents' earlier years.

Oh, I love those! I really like seeing people's old pictures.

And we looked kinda similar in the 80s!! I guess a lot of folks did. I will try to find one particular picture I thought of when I get a chance. Same hair, though mine was bleached blond (shudder).

Wow ~ she was so fashionable ~ You can guess the years in every photo quite easily from her style!

And *I* could have told you that the bottom photo was from 1986, add a side tail and perhaps a really long necklace and you'd have me :)

Oh, that's too funny ~ I totally see it now! :)

Wow

Thanks for sharing pictures of your Gram. She was really radiant, and I can see a lot of resemblance to her in you.
