We joined the ranks of good consumers on tax-free day by buying a Zire 31 palm pilot for me* and a DVD-R/VCR combo thing for the house. I feel so cutting edge. Soon video tapes will be a thing of the past around here! I'm psyched to burn all my tapes to DVD, especially since the model we got can create menus and chapters and so forth. All I have to do is regain some of the strength my workout drained away and set it up...
*does anybody else have one of these, or more to the point the software CD that comes with the Zire 31? The CD was missing from the box. After checking the palm forums, it appears that this is the case with all Zire 31s purchased at Circuit City, and Palm's answer to inquiries is to return it to Circuit City and ask for another--but that doesn't help much if they are all missing the software. I did download the new desktop from the Palm site, but the CD also had a document reader, a photo thing, a media player and some games that I would certainly like to have. Why is nothing ever simple?
