Why am I the only person in this office to ever replace the empty water bottle with a new full one on the bubbler? I like feeling strong and all, but I doubt I'm that much stronger than most of the other people here.
Two days of sitting at this desk for 8 hours in this uncomfy chair have brought back all the hamstring and tendon pain I've been feeling but had been abating in the week I was off. So now I know what's causing that. I guess I should start paying attention to my little stretching reminder that pops up on my monitor every little while. When this office was outfitted with furniture, they bought what looked nice, not what was remotely functional or human-friendly.
On the plus side, I'm about to get my old comfy purple chair back. On the minus side, it's because my office is moving this week to more crowded quarters in a Bay State Road townhouse. Goodbye river view, balcony, visiting hawks, fly-by helicopters, efficient heat and air conditioning. No word yet on whether I have to share an office or not, though I did state my opinion on the matter last week in the right ear, so that might help. There might not be any real choice, though.
The new futon we ordered was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it didn't. The woman at Dream On Futon said when I called yesterday "Oh, Nutmeg never made it today, so we should have it tomorrow." Nutmeg? Is that a person, a truck, a plucky dog that looks like Benji? Could Clove or Cinnamon have brought our futon, if Nutmeg wasn't available? Ah, Cambridge. Anyway we should have a comfy new bed today, I hope. I bought a new pillow over the weekend and I still feel so special from that, I can't believe sleeping is about to get more comfy still. Now if only I ever had time to be sleeping.
Oh look, a stretching reminder. Ok then.
