I planted stuff in my balcony garden and it felt very very good :-)  One pot seems to have gone AWOL in the move, I hope it turns up as it was a nice ceramic one.  But I now have gazania (I thought I was buying a flat of multi-colored ones, but upon getting home I found they were all yellow--Yellow Kiss, to be exact--oh well, I guess they'll match the house), ornamental bacopa, cascade centradenia, moonflowers, morning glories, variegated purple petunias and basil.  Also there is a perennial that I brought with me from the old place in its pot, I forget its name but it's already putting out flowers, so it clearly likes its new sunny balcony location.  Much as I miss having a little bit of actual land to work with, I do have to say it was nice to be able to buy full/partial sun plants, and not just shade loving ones.  Due to the timing of my zipcar rental, I ended up going to the garden center for all this stuff in the rain, but I am feeling so satisfied now that it was well, well worth it.

Last night I conked out on the couch sometime between 11 and 12.  Mathew woke me up at 1 to go to bed.  I got up at 8 to take care of Sissy and had a half hour coughing fit.  Took a couple of ibuprofen and some children's benadryl and slept until 1pm.  I'm not sure how much sleep that amounted to in total, but I feel so much better today than I have all week.  Still a little congested--and this very delicious hefeweizen isn't helping but gosh is it tasty)--but I feel kind of almost normal.  Not great enough to go up to Darq in Salem as I had hoped to do, but hopefully by tomorrow I will be in good shape for the social events of the next couple of days.

ah cool breeze, you are lovely...
