You wouldn't think that finding 7mm silver sequins would be so difficult... I finally found some on UK eBay.  Apparently 7mm sequins are an old world thing, because nobody seems to sell them in the US or Canada.  That's the size I need to repair my Fifi Abdo galibeya (and I'm obsessive compulsive enough that 6mm sequins won't do, 8mm sequins won't do, they have to be *just right*!).

Soon as M arrives at my workplace, I am going home.  He called to offer me a ride so that I wouldn't have to trudge through the slush and I was happy to take him up on that.  Happy Valentine's Day!  I walked to Alewife this morning when it was really snowing, it was quite pleasant really as it wasn't too cold and the snow was the perfect consistency for walking, but I suspect everything is a giant bowl of wet slush now, based on what I can see out my window.  Don't know what this might do to our dinner plans.  We were just going to Mr. Sushi, so maybe we'll just order takeout and bring it home so that we're not on the roads when it all freezes.

The whole world has been so quiet today that I feel like I came in on a Saturday by mistake.

Today's BPAL is my regular scent, Queen of Sheba, because I wanted to smell like myself on Valentine's Day:  "A woman of exquisite, unearthly beauty, profound intelligence, wit and exceeding wealth, the Queen of Sheba--called Bilquis by the Muslims and Makeda by the ancient Abyssinians--traveled by caravan to Solomon's realm seeking proof of the king's reputed wisdom.  Bearing gifts of exotic spices, a veritable mountain of gold, hearty camels and precious stones, she presented herself to the king and, bearing her heart to him, asked him a series of challenging questions, and was ultimately convinced of the truth of his wisdom, knowledge and judiciousness.  In the end, the great king and queen conquered each other's hearts and fell breathlessly in love:  the perfect marriage of equals.  Her scent is a bounty of golden honeyed almonds and a whisper of African and Middle Eastern spices."  All of that sounds exactly like me ;-)  except maybe the mountains of gold part.  My camels are indeed hearty though!
