Nick Cave for children
Jun. 27th, 2006 02:02 pmI stumbled across a reference to this song at Boing Boing and tracked the album down. Nick Cave has done a duet with Dan Zanes, who does "21st century all ages family music, made for kids and grownups to enjoy together." The track is called "Sweet Rosyanne."

where the album review says "Even gloom-monger Nick Cave, dropping in for the sailor's waltz "Sweet Rosyanne," sounds huggable. If Zanes can melt his fierce heart, cranky children and worn-out parents haven't a prayer."

I would be *skeptical* to put it mildly about Nick Cave on a children's album, but this sounds like the sort of artist I might want my children to listen to, if I had any. It's a nice enough song, I'll probably grab it through emusic.
