alonewiththemoonI slept wretchedly last night, probably because I slept 11.5 hours Saturday night and also because even though we had the AC on, I could feel how it was battling against the humidity in the air and that somehow made me tense, i think. But in the middle of all my tossing and turning, there was a very nice hour or so when a big yellow weasel curled up against my arm and took a nap with me :-)
Seti had his distemper vaccination on Saturday. All went well--I thought it would, but after the experience with Pan last year (violent, life-threatening reaction), I was still a little worried. Poor Pan was pretty terrified to be at the vet's, but hopefully going and having nothing bad happen to him was a confidence booster. As usual, the vet marveled over their wonderful coats and excellent muscle tone. It makes me feel like a good ferret owner.
Angell Memorial was also very cooperative on the financial side of things--their bureaucracy has become so much better over the years. I belong to this payment plan thing called CareCredit which allows me to pay for vet care over three months interest-free, but there's a minimum amount you have to charge up to be able to use it. My bill on Saturday was about $30 less than the needed amount, but since Seti is going back in a few weeks for his rabies shot, they said they would just hold off billing me until then so that with the two visits combined, the total amount would qualify for the CareCredit plan. I could have paid for it all at once, but it's certainly less stressful to be able to spread out the payment. I'm sure at this point I am a preferred customer at Angell, so they know they will get their money from me :-/ Anyway, yay Angell for making it easier for pet owners to pay for high quality vet care.
I keep forgetting I'm going to the Turbo Tabla show tonight. I think different parts of my brain are on different calendars today.
