that sounds like some new indy band, pumpkins ok. Happily, 7 pumpkin halves out of 8 survived the flying glass explosion--luckily the method I was using to cook them involved them being placed cut side down, so their tough orange skins protected them. There was indeed glass all over the place, though. I found an oddly shaped little glass bar that I've decided must have been the internal defect in the glass that allowed it to shatter, like its little glass heart that could take no more and burst.

Even the Pyrex is goth in this house. I go melt into a glass of wine now and let the tv take over my higher brain functioning...
