Seven hours of sleep feels significantly better than five hours of sleep. I had intended to stay late at work last night to practice with my wings, but due to a bit of a comedy of errors (forgot my music, had one song on the computer so burned that, but then the cd player wouldn't read it, and I forgot that the room I was planning to practice in doesn't actually have any light beyond what comes from a few large windows), I ditched that plan. I needed the practice, but my body is now informing me that it really appreciated having a night off and we should do that again some time. M wasn't home so I sprawled across the couch, ate random stuff in the freezer dinner (Trader Joe crinkle wedges, veggie burgers with pesto on a piece of naan) and watched bits of my wings technique dvd again, followed by a very exciting adventure in going to bed at a reasonable hour. yay me.
A little Ronan update: he is starting to look like a ferret should, no more overweight than is normal for this time of year. He woke us up on the weekend by actually climbing the outside of the cage to try to get at the treats kept on top of the cage--I never would have thought he could do that! There's an overhang at the top of the cage that prevented him from getting anywhere, but it was still impressive. He's all around generally coming into his own. He's better at playing nice with Seti, who in turn is much more enthusiastic about playing with him, and he's coming to like being held much more. And this week he started giving kisses :-) which might just mean that my lip balm tastes good to ferrets, but hey, at least he feels comfortable stealing it off my face. It makes me miss Pan, because he really liked lipstick, but I guess the one good thing that came out of Pan's passing was that we could give Ronan a home.
