Finally, Ronan pictures (and some belly dance pics)

I'm home sick from work today, so sick I won't even be going to dance class, so that's pretty sick. At least it's given me a chance to do some computer stuff, including resize and organize some photos. So, here's some ferret pics!


Here is Ronan under an umbrella:

Here is a top view of Ronan. He isn't as fat here as he was and he's lost some weight since the photo was taken, but he's still overweight for a ferret. He's making steady progress though. Also, you can see that I read trashy novels, though to be fair, Seti is the one who piles them up by the bed.

Here is a side view of Ronan being cute. He likes to sleep in or next to my pyjamas when I am not sleeping in them. I think he likes me.

And a couple of pictures from Saturday's student recital in my recently finished tribaret gear, including the corset belt. I wish the details on the belt showed up better, but I suppose that's what I get for wearing a black skirt with it. Tribaret, for those not familiar with the term, is used to describe costuming that is not entirely tribal but not entirely cabaret. It's a style that appeals to the magpie in me :-)

The top is covered with these little metal things from Fire Mountain Gems. There's about 100 of them per cup. Then there's some edging of silver ribbon, black iris sequins and regular washers from the hardware store, and the center dangling thing is grommet tape, a big washer, and some more of the little metal things. By wearing an underbust vest I was able to skip decorating the sides and back of the bra ;-)

He is totally squishy, and he's a big cuddlebear too, so luckily he doesn't get sick of us picking him up to squish him :-)

I worked on it in a lot of little intervals over a couple of months--maybe three or so hours total for the bra and four or five for the belt (much of that was the tassels, though, which would take me less time if I do it again).

That's my favorite belly dance outfit ever -- the furry fluffy bits on the bottom, I mean. Which I remember from the Zietgiest. SO COOL. And they bump & grind and shimmy so neat!
