I think generally only older ferrets have kidney problems, but Pan's always been a special one, so you never know. I was hoping that it was just some kind of infection thing as well, especially since he has been on the upswing for the past couple of days, but the vet's reaction to the additional mass in his abdomen seemed to rule that out :(
