I got bumped into a lot too--it amazes me how unaware people can be of their surroundings. Or of what is being shown them--there was a woman over by me who kept turning around on every flat footed hip twist in that haggallah combo, despite Faten Salama demonstrating it over and over and over and many people all around her doing it more or less correctly. I have, I hope, a lot of empathy and tolerance for inexperienced dancers, but I just don't get why some people don't seem to think about what they are doing. Some of these dancers I have seen at workshops for a couple of years now, so they aren't even new dancers really. Maybe they just don't get much feedback in their classes and so think whatever they are doing is ok.
